Proof-Of-Citizenship Requirements

For United States citizens traveling outside of the United States a valid US passport is required when you travel. Please check with Inglewood Travel for additional visa requirements. Your name must appear on all documents (airline tickets, rail tickets, etc.) exactly as it does on your passport.

For United States citizens traveling to the Caribbean, Mexico or Canada ONLY, two forms of proof of citizenship are acceptable when you travel. The names on all documents must match the proof of citizenship documents.

1. A valid United States passport, which does not expire within six months of your departure. Certain Caribbean countries accept a U.S. passport only.

2. An original state issued birth certificate plus a government issued photo identification. If you do not have your original birth certificate you can use a certified copy with a raised seal. These can be obtained by contacting the vital records department in the state you were born. A hospital issued birth certificate is not acceptable. A photocopy of your birth certificate is not acceptable.

Examples of a government issued photo ID would be either a valid driver’s license or a valid military ID. Children under the age of 18 will not be required to show a photo ID, but will still need to present an original birth certificate. A married woman traveling in her married name must take her original marriage license to confirm the name change.

For all International travel: If one parent is traveling with children under 18 years of age you must provide a notarized letter from the other parent that authorizes the children to leave the country. This letter should be detailed with specific dates and names of everyone traveling.

Failure to provide the airline or cruiseline with these required documents will result in denied boarding and possible complete financial loss of your trip.

If you are not a United States Citizen or have any questions please contact Inglewood Travel.

I have read and understand the above requirements and will not hold Inglewood Travel responsible should I fail to provide acceptable proof of citizenship.
